NOIDA: As India accelerates its roadmap toward a developed nation, the structural alignment between central youth policies and district-level execution is triggering a tangible change in Western Uttar Pradesh. In Gautam Buddh Nagar, this momentum is spearheaded by the dynamic administrative partnership between District Magistrate (DM) Medha Roopam and Deputy Director Shivendra Singh, leading the autonomous flagship platform Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) under the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, headed by Cabinet Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.
By shifting the focus entirely away from traditional desk diplomacy toward active digital onboarding, field deployments, and direct public dialogue, the district machinery is transforming local youth into primary stakeholders of national growth.
Active Public Outreach: The DM-MY Bharat Collaborative Framework
A key pillar of recent success in the district is how the administration directly connects with common citizens. DM Medha Roopam has institutionalized an accessible, open-door public service model, prioritizing direct grievance redressal, mass labor welfare reforms (including doubling overtime wages and securing strict safety mandates), and resolving farmer-community disputes across the sub-divisions.
Aligning with this approachable leadership style, Deputy Director Shivendra Singh has transformed the regional MY Bharat network into a real-time citizen-connect tool. Rather than executing policies linearly, Singh’s extensive network of phygital (physical + digital) volunteers functions as a field sensor. Whenever critical district programs—such as the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) electoral checks or localized disaster mitigation audits—are deployed, these young volunteers act as direct communication lines to ensure complete transparency between the citizen body and the district collectorate.
Real Interventions and Localized Achievements in Gautam Buddh Nagar
By coordinating with relevant institutional departments, such as the District Industries Center, Lead District Managers, and the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), the MY Bharat office under Shivendra Singh has rolled out concrete multi-sectoral projects across peripheral blocks like Dadri, Jewar, and Dankaur:
Disaster Readiness & Safety Training: In recent ground activations, the department organized mass interactive training sessions on the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction. College students and youth volunteers across the district were equipped with life-saving skills, fire safety protocols, and emergency mitigation training in direct coordination with the Traffic Police and Fire Services.
Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programs: Singh has successfully institutionalized the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect and Mock Youth Parliaments at the block and district levels. These forums provide rural youth a formalized medium to address critical micro-challenges—such as localized groundwater depletion, agricultural challenges, and digital transitions—with the summarized resolutions passed directly to senior administrative headers for policy review.
Nasha Mukt Yuva Campaigns: Aligning with national targets, the district office has deployed extensive field campaigns against substance abuse. By running targeted creative contests and awareness drives in rural hubs, the initiative has built a vast network of youth advocates committed to a drug-free India.
Electoral Integrity Drives: Under the strict oversight of the DM, MY Bharat youth squads carried out comprehensive door-to-door democratic awareness exercises. Volunteers actively assisted in streamlining rural voting registries and guiding first-time voters toward seamless civic inclusion.
Experiential Learning & Grassroots Sports Scouting: To mitigate the recreational infrastructure deficit in distant outer sectors, the office engineered a merit-based sports equipment disbursal program. High-quality kits are given strictly to verified village youth clubs registered on the MY Bharat platform, building a reliable structure for ongoing regional sports talent hunting.
Bridging the Industrial-Rural Divide
Gautam Buddh Nagar has rapidly grown into a massive technological and industrial manufacturing powerhouse, yet local rural demographics frequently find themselves isolated from corporate zones. To bridge this gap, the MY Bharat District Office leverages its comprehensive digital database to design specialized Skill & Entrepreneurship Orientation Camps integrated with the National Career Service (NCS). By aligning rural manpower profiles directly with the exact technical requirements needed by the expanding industrial landscape, this framework under Deputy Director Shivendra Singh ensures that the district’s rising generation transitions seamlessly from passive spectators into primary economic creators of a Viksit Bharat.
