The ongoing investigation into the Delhi Red Fort blast has taken a new and unexpected turn, as security agencies have traced links to Faridabad and Lucknow. The discovery of a suspicious car near the house of a man named Parvez Ansari in Faridabad has added a fresh dimension to the case.
The Suspicious Car and Key Breakthrough
Delhi Red Fort Blast : According to police sources, the car suspected to have been used in the Red Fort blast was found parked outside Parvez Ansari’s residence in Faridabad. Preliminary reports indicate that the car contained certain suspicious items, which have now been seized and sent for forensic examination.
The car’s registration details initially led investigators to Salman, who was detained earlier. Salman, however, claimed that he had sold the vehicle weeks before the explosion, prompting authorities to dig deeper into the chain of ownership.

Expanding Investigation: Lucknow Under the Scanner
The investigation has now expanded beyond the Delhi-NCR region. Teams of the Delhi Police Special Cell and central intelligence agencies are reportedly questioning several individuals in Lucknow who may have connections to the car’s sale or to the planning of the explosion.
Officials suspect that a wider network could be operating behind the scenes, using intermediaries and fake identities to move the vehicle and coordinate logistics.
Security Tightened Across Key Locations
Following the blast, security has been intensified across Delhi and surrounding cities. CISF and local police units have been deployed in large numbers at airports, metro stations, government buildings, and historical monuments. Heritage sites like the Red Fort, India Gate, and Qutub Minar are under enhanced surveillance.
