Poshan Pakhwada 2025: Poshan Pakhwada is a national initiative in India that focuses on improving nutrition and promoting healthy eating habits. The term “Poshan” means “nutrition” in Hindi, and “Pakhwada” refers to a period of 15 days. During Poshan Pakhwada, various activities are organized to raise awareness about the importance of proper nutrition, especially among children, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and other vulnerable groups. The event is typically held annually and is part of the broader Poshan Abhiyan (National Nutrition Mission), which was launched by the Government of India in 2018.

The mission aims to reduce malnutrition and improve nutritional outcomes through various campaigns, programs, and community-based initiatives. During Poshan Pakhwada, there are awareness campaigns, workshops, community events, health check-ups, and distribution of nutritional supplements to promote balanced diets and address issues like undernutrition, anemia, and stunting. The initiative encourages people to adopt healthier lifestyle choices, increase awareness about local, nutritious foods, and provide information about government programs related to nutrition. This event will happen from April 8 to April 22.
